Tope Babalola is a dynamic Nigerian-Canadian filmmaker, content creator and model celebrated for his unique blend of comedy, compelling storytelling, and imaginative visual effects (VFX). With an impressive following of over 2.1 million on TikTok, Tope has captivated audiences with his original skits and relatable narratives, making him a sought-after influencer for brands looking to connect with a vibrant and engaged audience.

 

A passionate storyteller, Tope has made significant strides in the film industry, and creator space and was recognized as one of Playback Magazine’s "10 Filmmakers to Watch" in 2022. His creative vision shines through in his short film, The Delivery, which he wrote, directed, and acted in. Additionally, he wrote, directed and produced a short film Or Forever Hold Your Peace, which premiered at the Miami Film Festival in April 2025. Tope is currently in early development on a fantasy comedy series, and recently finished penning a feature length comedy-drama film. 

 

Tope is travelling to Seoul this Spring for the inaugural Canada-Asia Pacific Co-Production Accelerator program (CAPCA), where his highly anticipated coming of age mystery series, Benjamin Ojo has been showcased as an exciting project with immense potential. This venture builds on his previous achievements, including participation in the Netflix Diversity of Voices delegation at the Banff Centre last year, further demonstrating his commitment to elevating diverse voices in storytelling.
